Merla Rug Oat

Handwoven over 2–3 months, each rug carries subtle border variations that reflect the hand of its maker, making every piece uniquely one of a kind. Each knot is wrapped and cut by hand to create a dense pile in premium New Zealand wool. A sculptural high-low edge, inspired by tiled stonework and reimagined as a checkerboard border along the short edge, adds subtle dimension. Each rug is handmade and may vary in border design, texture, colour and shape, with a size tolerance of 2–3% expected and celebrated as part of its design.
